Car Forfeiture

If the accused was revoked at the time of the offense, a forfeiture hearing will eventually be conducted. The hearing will occur at either the sentencing for the underlying offense, a separate hearing after the conviction, or at least 60 days after the defendant failed to appear at trial for the underlying offense , and the order for arrest has not been set aside. If your vehicle has been forfeited, then you no longer have ownership of the vehicle and the car will be sold at auction with all proceeds going to the County Board of Education.
